Role Purpose
The Head of Marketing & Communications for Switzerland is responsible for defining and executing the local marketing strategy to drive measurable business growth, pipeline contribution, revenue influence, and market positioning.

Reporting to the Group CMO, the role balances global strategic alignment with local market priorities, acting as a strategic partner to the Switzerland CEO and Sales Leadership while maintaining ownership of marketing investments, priorities, and outcomes.

The role is instrumental in evolving marketing into a commercially driven, performance‑oriented growth function that strengthens Zühlke’s unified brand presence across all markets.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Business Impact

Define and lead the Switzerland marketing strategy aligned with Group priorities and commercial objectives

Translate business priorities into focused marketing plans with measurable outcomes

Identify target industries, customer segments, and growth opportunities

Embed marketing into go‑to‑market and commercial planning processes

Budget Ownership & Investment Management

Own the Switzerland marketing budget and investment allocation decisions

Prioritise marketing investments based on strategic relevance and expected business impact

Make clear trade‑offs to maximise value and focus on high‑impact activities

Approve, redirect, or stop initiatives based on performance and alignment

Demand Generation & Pipeline Contribution

Drive a balanced marketing approach across long‑term demand generation and short‑term lead generation

Own marketing contribution to pipeline creation, revenue influence, and ROI

Monitor funnel performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion

Partner with Sales to strengthen lead quality, follow‑up, and conversion discipline

Ensure marketing activities are connected to clear offerings and measurable conversion paths

CRM & Performance Management

Ensure transparency of marketing contribution across the sales funnel

Monitor lead quality, conversion rates, and marketing‑sourced and influenced pipeline

Use CRM insights and performance data to drive optimisation and decision‑making

Maintain discipline in lead handover and follow‑up processes

Brand & Global Alignment

Ensure consistent positioning, messaging, and market presence across all touchpoints

Align with Group Marketing teams and other countries on campaigns and priorities

Contribute to a unified “One Zühlke” brand approach across markets

Stakeholder Leadership

Act as a trusted strategic partner to the Switzerland CEO and Sales Leadership

Provide clear, data‑driven recommendations on priorities and investments

Align local business needs with Group strategy and marketing principles

Navigate differing stakeholder perspectives to drive focused decisions

Marketing Transformation & Ways of Working

Drive the transition toward performance‑ and outcome‑driven marketing

Establish clear priorities and accountability across marketing activities

Foster effective collaboration across local and Group marketing teams

Contribute to continuous improvement in marketing effectiveness and efficiency

Required Capabilities
Experience & Skills

8–10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, including strategic leadership roles

Proven track record of delivering measurable business impact

Strong expertise in demand generation and performance marketing

Experience managing budgets with ROI accountability

Strong understanding of CRM, funnel management, and sales‑marketing alignment

Experience working in matrix and/or multi‑country organisations

Leadership & Mindset

Strong commercial and business‑outcome orientation

Ability to prioritise effectively and make strategic trade‑offs

Confident decision‑maker with strong stakeholder management skills

Collaborative mindset with commitment to a unified brand approach

Data‑driven, pragmatic, and results‑oriented

Success Measures / KPIs

Marketing contribution to sourced and influenced pipeline and revenue

Marketing ROI and budget efficiency

Lead quality and conversion performance

Campaign effectiveness and optimisation impact

CRM transparency and attribution quality

Consistency of brand positioning and messaging across markets
