Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable General Ledger Accountant to join our Group Finance team in Geneva, reporting to the Director of Accounting and Tax. In this role, you will be a key contributor to high-quality financial reporting for our Swiss entities, supporting accurate month-end close, statutory compliance, and Group consolidation in a fast-growing, acquisition-driven environment. You will work closely with operational teams and external advisors, while helping strengthen processes, controls, and systems as our platform continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the full general ledger cycle for Swiss entities (CPP Switzerland Sàrl and others), including daily transaction recording, journal entries and reconciliations.
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closings: prepare accruals, deferrals, prepayments, fixed assets register, intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
Ensure compliance with Swiss Code of Obligations (OR), Swiss GAAP, IFRS and relevant tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax).
Support preparation of IFRS consolidation packs, including adjustments, eliminations and reporting schedules.
Prepare statutory financial statements, notes and supporting schedules for Swiss entities, ready for external review or limited audit.
Supervise AP/AR subledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, cash management postings and expense accruals.
Maintain fixed assets register, calculate depreciation/amortisation per Swiss rules and manage capitalisation processes.
Support tax filings (quarterly VAT, annual CIT returns) and liaise with external advisors on Swiss tax matters.
Drive process improvements and system usage (ERP/GL tools), ensuring data integrity and efficiency in a scaling Group.
Act as key contact for Swiss entity operational teams on accounting matters, providing pragmatic guidance.
· Oversee Swiss payroll accounting, including review of payroll reports from external providers, reconciliation of salary, social security, withholding tax and pension balances, and ensuring accurate posting and compliance with Swiss statutory requirements
Assist with audits (internal/external/statutory), providing documentation, explanations and resolving queries.
Provide support to the UK Accounting team when required, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial information.

Essential Experience Requirements:
Accountant with 3-5 years' experience in General Ledger accounting, ideally in a small/medium Swiss company or multi-entity group.
Qualified accountant (fiduciaire apprenticeship, CFC comptable or equivalent) preferred.
Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP, Code of Obligations (OR) and local regulations (VAT, withholding, statutory reporting).
Experience with monthly closings, reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation in a Swiss context.
Proficiency in accounting software (ERP/GL systems like Sage, SAP or similar) and advanced Excel.
Detail-oriented, organised and able to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with ownership of end-to-end processes.
Team player comfortable working with operational teams, external advisors and Group finance.
Proven experience of approaching challenges with confidence and a proactive mindset, contributing positively to problem-solving and process improvements.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly.
Fluency in French and English

Desirable Experience Requirements:
Fluency in other languages relevant to existing or potential European markets (e.g. German)

Salary Range: 85,000 – 95,000 CHF per year (Switzerland HQ) (Additional components of the total compensation package, such as bonuses or benefits, will be discussed during the interview process)
