As a Cabin Steward at The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team that crafts a truly memorable environment for all guests. In this role, you will contribute to providing guests with unforgettable luxury experiences and cabin services. Primary Responsibilities Include
1. Providing exceptional customer service to guests to ensure that their needs are met throughout their stay and crafting personalized accommodations and amenities to cater to individual needs.
2. Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the cabins or rooms by sanitizing, changing bed linens, replenishing supplies, and ensuring a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests.
3. Providing turndown services in the evening and preparing the cabin for rest while guests savor the fine cuisine in the dining car and enjoy sumptuous cocktails in the bar.
4. Taking complete responsibility for maintaining the safety and security of the sleeping cars at all times.
Requirements
1. Several years’ experience in luxury hospitality.
2. Experience dealing with international customers.
3. Basic knowledge of reception, housekeeping, and/or F&B service techniques.
4. Ability to perform heavy lifting operations (over 35kg).
5. Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
6. Strong self-organization and time management skills.
7. Team player.
8. Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
9. European or Swiss passport.
10. Fluency in English and French; basic comprehension of Italian is a plus.
