Beschreibung

As the top Swiss e-commerce platform, with a crew of over 3’000 across Switzerland, Germany, and Serbia, Galaxus is poised to move into new markets. Our driving force is our determination to keep challenging the status quo. That’s why we’re on the lookout for characters who’re passionate about making genuine improvements. We’ll give you the freedom and trust to make an impact, to grow with us and to be yourself. Act galactic. Be you.

Team Heimdall coordinates the flow of goods across our logistics network – from distributing goods across warehouses and warehouse areas, through managing replenishment between warehouses, to outbound reservation logic – ensuring optimal availability and efficient shipping. To further strengthen our data-driven approach, we are looking for a Software Engineer with a strong interest in large datasets, who will help identify improvement potential and contribute to building smarter solutions.

Your responsibilities

As part of a Scrum team, participate in the entire process from conception to implementation and operation of solutions, including code reviews and support.

Improve the flow of goods across our logistics network based on profound data analyses, in close collaboration with our Data Team.

Use tools such as BigQuery to explore, validate, and derive insights from our data.

Build distributed systems on a modern .NET C# stack using technologies like Kafka, NServiceBus, SQL, and Azure Kubernetes clusters.

Focus on clean code, sustainable architecture, and robust test coverage.

Be a team player: share ideas, give and receive feedback, and help create a positive and open team culture.

Your skills

Higher education (ETH/UNI/FH) in computer science or related technical field

Expertise in software engineering, preferably with object-oriented languages like C# or Java

A hands-on attitude: you take ownership of your work and enjoy solving challenges on your own

A team mindset: you enjoy working with others to move projects forward as a team

Openness, curiosity and initiative are what set you apart. You use your creativity to solve problems and achieve goals. As a team player, you contribute proactively to the team with empathy and a willingness to experiment.

You’re willing to question the status quo and propose more efficient, automated, or effective solutions.

You’re not afraid by complex systems or business processes—you see them as a chance to learn and grow

You have the courage to try things without planning every last detail. You take calculated risks to create value and drive growth.

Work proficiency in German (B1 or higher)

More than "just" work: Take part in our various employee events such as Hackathons, hiking, skiing, Böötlen on the Limmat, LAN Parties or Friday Night Drinks and, if you're interested, contribute to our Techblog.

More benefits: 25 days of holiday, exclusive employee conditions in our online shop, mobile, internet and TV plans at company rates and many other benefits.
