As part of the development of our activities in Lausanne, we are looking for a Software Test Engineer (H/F).
Your job responsibilities
Within the Team and SQC Community
* Guide development teams in consistently applying established testing standards and procedures.
* Partner with developers to uphold high-quality output throughout the software lifecycle.
* Perform ongoing testing to identify defects at the earliest stage possible.
* Examine design and product documentation to verify that requirements are clear, accurate, and testable.
* Create comprehensive test plans, develop test cases, execute tests, and produce detailed reports.
* Log and track defects in accordance with procedures, ensuring the issue tracking system remains current.
* Utilize quality management and tracking tools (e.g., Jira) to monitor progress and metrics.
* Foster clear and continuous communication with project teams and stakeholders.
* Ensure automated tests are fully integrated into CI/CD pipelines and monitored for reliability.
* Apply automation expertise using tools such as Java/Selenium or Playwright/Postman.
* Regularly review automation outcomes and troubleshoot failures as needed.
* Build and maintain automated test suites to support efficient regression testing.
As Project or Product Test Engineer
* Develop and oversee the overall testing approach and strategy.
* Identify opportunities to optimize processes for higher efficiency and quality.
* Provide leadership with transparent reporting on the project’s quality status.
* Evaluate testing effort and coverage to understand impact and allocate resources effectively.
* Ensure implementation of quality gates, including unit testing and code quality standards.
Your profile & personality
* Proven experience in test automation (preferably Java + Playwright or Selenium) and manual testing.
* Proficient with Git and experienced in testing microservices.
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer
* Knowledge of version control and release management is a plus.
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or information technology (or equivalent).
* ISTQB certification preferred.
* Logical, precise, and highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
* Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks independently.
* Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
* Proactive, highly organized, and collaborative across functions.
* Fluent in English.
