This student position is designed to be a full-time role during the semester breaks and offers flexibility during your studies with a minimum of 2 working days per week. This is a great opportunity for students who are able to commit to this role for at least 18 months, ideally for several years during their studies. Your main tasks as Student Support within the ESG team include: Supporting the ESG team in building and maintaining data pipelines, databases and tools for ESG data collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting; Writing and maintaining scripts and applications in C# and or Python to automate workflows and enhance data processing capabilities; Supporting the exploration and development of AI-driven solutions for automated ESG data scraping, extraction and identification from unstructured sources (e.g., company reports, news feeds, regulatory filings). Requirements Currently enrolled at a leading technical university in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Environmental Engineering, or a related quantitative field at Bachelor or beginning Master level; Proficiency in Python (mandatory); experience with C# and databases (SQL or similar) is a strong plus; Familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and experience working with structured and unstructured datasets; Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and an interest in applying large language models (LLMs) or NLP techniques for data extraction and classification is an advantage; Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus; Pro-active, curious and collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset; Eligibility for unrestricted, full-time working visa in Switzerland.
