Job Title: Pastry Chef Specialist

The Kronenhof hotel in Pontresina is a renowned luxury establishment that has been operational since 1848. This prestigious hotel boasts an impressive architectural design, both internally and externally, and is considered one of the most significant hotels in the Alps from the 19th century.

Located in a breathtaking landscape at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level, Pontresina is just a short distance from the upscale resort town of St. Moritz. The Kronenhof hotel is part of the leading 5-Star Superior establishments in the Oberengadin region and was named Hotel of the Year by GaultMillau in 2008.

We have received several prestigious awards, including six Travellers' Choice Awards from TripAdvisor and were recognized as the Best Hotel in the World. Additionally, we were awarded the Prix Bienvenu by Schweiz Tourismus for being the friendliest luxury hotel in Switzerland.

Our Offerings:

We offer 112 luxurious suites and rooms across various categories. Our comprehensive wellness area invites guests to relax and unwind. Our flagship restaurant, 'Grand Restaurant', offers a classical neo-baroque ambiance with seating for 300 guests and boasts the second-best HP rating in Switzerland. We also have the à-la-carte Gourmet Restaurant 'Kronenstübli', which has earned 16 points from GaultMillau.

Responsibilities:

* Mise en place: Prepare and organize the patisserie for HP guests, à la carte service, banquets, and occasionally the staff canteen.
* Daily creation of desserts: Create delicious pralines, friandises, cakes, and sweet pastries for breakfast using 80% fresh products.
* Creative dessert creations: Develop innovative and appealing dessert creations that delight our guests.
* Guest orientation: Respond to special requests from guests and fulfill them with precision and friendliness.
* Continuous improvement: Contribute to optimizing workflows and developing high-quality standards.
* Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth process in the patisserie.
* Hygiene and safety: Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

Your Profile:

To be successful in this role, you should have completed training as a confectioner/patissier and possess 3 years of professional experience in patisserie, preferably in upscale hospitality. You should be passionate about creating sweet delicacies and have an eye for detail. Creativity, enthusiasm for innovation, teamwork spirit, and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Italian, English, or German is highly valued.
