The Opportunity
Join our dynamic CFD team, where you'll develop analytical tools and automate finite element processes to address thermo-fluid dynamics requirements for transformers and reactors. This role involves proposing technical solutions for electrical machines, collaborating with global simulation teams, and contributing to technical standards. You will also design and execute experimental campaigns, support factories with technical challenges, and perform CFD simulations of cooling systems. How You’ll Make an Impact
* Develop detailed documentation and specifications for thermal solutions tailored to stakeholder needs.
* Update and refine existing thermal documentation and solutions on the CDSe platform.
* Provide expert support, manage technical tickets, and deliver training sessions. Conduct regular meetings with manufacturing teams to understand and address their needs.
* Collaborate with the Technology Team to develop technical standards, define requirements, and support implementation.
* Lead R&D projects exploring new thermal technologies, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and applying findings to improve energy efficiency.
* Oversee testing and validation of thermal systems, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
* Manage multiple thermal engineering projects from initiation to completion, developing project plans, setting milestones, and monitoring progress.
* Coordinate with product design, manufacturing, and field service teams to integrate thermal solutions.
* Mentor junior engineers and new team members, fostering continuous learning.
* Stay updated on thermal engineering and renewable energy technologies, representing the company at industry events.
Your Background
* Degree in Engineering with a strong foundation in thermal dynamics and renewable energy technologies.
* Relevant experience, preferably in Power Generation and Transmission (PGTR), with a deep understanding of the thermal behavior of transformers and energy systems.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab, C#, Python, and Netlist, with expertise in numerical analysis, linear algebra, and matrix operations.
* Experience in preparing detailed technical documentation and drawings, with an understanding of agile methodologies.
* Understanding of software development processes and ability to plan and execute projects effectively.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality results.
* Exceptional analytical skills with proven troubleshooting capabilities.
