About Our Client
Our client is an international company based in Geneva. They are looking for a Data Business Development Manager to validate, monetize, and commercialize new data products (e.g., line‑ups, quality and pricing data). You will test market needs, define pricing and packaging, shape go‑to‑market, and close initial deals.
Job Description
What You'll Do
1) Product Validation
* Engage with clients, shareholders, and industry experts to validate use cases, features, and pricing assumptions
* Benchmark competitors and substitutes in the agri‑data space
* Collaborate with product & tech teams to ensure data quality and usability
* Run early‑adopter feedback loops to iterate quickly
2) Monetization Strategy
* Design pricing & packaging by segment and value metric (e.g., seats, usage, API calls)
* Define GTM plans for datasets covering line‑ups, flows, quality, and pricing
* Evaluate revenue models (subscriptions, licensing, enterprise, API)
3) Commercial Execution & Partnerships
* Build pipeline across traders, brokers, agents, surveyors, shipowners, banks, and data aggregators
* Negotiate contracts and licensing agreements that protect IP and data integrity
* Represent the company at industry events and commercial forums
Expected Outcomes (first 6 months)
* Validated product hypotheses and pricing models
* 3‑5 pilot customers and an actionable pipeline

The Successful Applicant
* 5+ years in data strategy & monetization, ideally in commodities, logistics, or pricing data
* Experience validating and launching data products
* Strong understanding of commodities trading & logistics workflows
* SaaS or API‑based sales experience is a plus
* Commercially driven, structured, and creative
* Fluent in English; remote‑ready
