Reporting directly to the Global Assembly Controlling Manager and with a dotted line to the Business Unit Director, the Plant Controlling Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the plant. This includes ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with internal and external requirements, and alignment with the overall strategic objectives of the business. The role involves leading a team of 3 professionals and working cross-functionally to support informed decision-making and drive financial performance.
Key responsibilities
* Act as a key partner to operational leadership, providing financial insights and recommendations.
* Oversee general accounting, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Lead controlling and financial reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely data for decision-making.
* Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and performance analyses to support strategic planning.
* Ensure correct costing for produced goods and services. Approve quotes for Engineered-to-Order new equipment.
* Monitor treasury position, anticipate external financing needs, and manage relationships with local banks. Approve payments to suppliers, payrolls, and taxes.
* Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
* Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to standards.
* Develop and mentor the finance team, fostering continuous improvement.
Skills, experience & education
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
* Proven 5+ years of financial management experience in manufacturing
* Solid knowledge of IFRS
* Strong leadership skills with team management experience
* Excellent command of English and Spanish
* Proficiency in financial systems, ERP, and Excel
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail
