Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients – identifying and managing solutions to meet a wide range of client needs. Establish a sound understanding of the strategy of the clients in their portfolio through regular proactive contact, responding to client / prospect queries and requests and identifying opportunities that will deliver long‑term commercial reward. Manage operational, reputational, financial crime and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid exposing Barclays to undue risk. Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards. Service/group relationships – referrals to group colleagues.
To manage a business function, providing significant input to function‑wide strategic initiatives. Contribute to and influence policy and procedures for the function and plan, manage and consult on multiple complex and critical strategic projects, which may be business wider. They manage the direction of a large team or sub‑function, leading other people managers and embedding a performance culture aligned to the values of the business. Or for an individual contributor, they lead organisation‑wide projects and act as a deep technical expert and thought leader, identifying new ways of working and collaborating cross‑functionally. They will train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long‑term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions. Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function, offering significant input to function‑wide strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of successfully covering Private Bank clients in the Israeli Market, including the Jewish diaspora based in Switzerland. Excellent relationship skills with experience of managing and handling the sophisticated needs of individuals and families. Effective in gaining an in‑depth understanding of client’s needs and advising on a diverse range of wealth management solutions. Experience in controlling and monitoring risk within a client book. Substantial experience of the Financial Services industry, particularly in the areas of Retail regulated products and services to HNW & UHNW customers. The ideal candidate will maintain a full, up‑to‑date understanding of the general financial markets dynamics and current financial concepts. Demonstrate a high aptitude and understanding of the digital landscape, with the ability to effectively manage Clients’ changing needs in this area. Excellent market exposure and multi‑disciplined private banking expertise. An ability to proactively drive business development. Good management skills and experience of influencing others through direct or indirect management. Experience of stakeholder management/matrix management. Experience of mentoring and/or managing small teams. A detailed and up‑to‑date knowledge of the Israeli Private Banking / UHNW market.
Fluent in English. Knowledge in Hebrew would be advantageous.
