For our client, a well-established organisation operating a sophisticated international structure of commercial, financial holding, and manufacturing entities in Switzerland, we are seeking a skilled Senior Accounting Specialist (m / f / d). The company is recognised for its strong presence in the Swiss market, supported by robust financial infrastructure and a commitment to the highest accounting standards across multiple jurisdictions.
Your Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact for sophisticated accounting judgements and intricate financial transactions
* Ensure precise and timely recording of business transactions while maintaining compliance with international accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, Swiss Code of Obligations)
* Contribute to the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and tax reports, including consolidated financials and documentation for statutory audits
* Play a pivotal role in coordinating internal and external audit processes
* Develop and maintain robust internal control frameworks and accounting procedures
* Collaborate closely with the Business Services Center on transaction-level operations
* Deliver comprehensive financial analyses and regular performance updates to senior management
Your Profile
* Solid expertise in international accounting frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS, Swiss Code of Obligations)
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (FI / CO), combined with advanced Excel proficiency
* Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail when interpreting financial statements
* Proactive mindset with the ability to quickly adapt to evolving business environments
* Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different organisational levels
* Fluent in English; German language skills are an asset
* Professional approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Solution-oriented thinking and capability to tackle complex challenges
