Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Drive the conceptual design and development of medical device components and systems - from requirement definition through to prototyping and evaluation
Create CAD models, technical drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and test specifications
Take ownership of verification, validation, and the regulatory documentation related to mechanical assemblies
Support the industrialization process and ensure a smooth transition from development to production
Assist the procurement team in technical discussions with suppliers
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, Mechatronics or a related field
At least 5 years of industry experience involving CAD design and drawing generation
Good knowledge of materials and processes, especially metals and plastics used in mechatronic device applications
Experience in sub‑project management and supplier collaboration
Experience in mechanical testing, including type approval, functional validation, and prototype evaluation
Experience with coatings and adhesive bonding is a plus
English C1, German B2 and French B1
