Your role

* research, identify and create relationships with banks, asset managers, central banks and hedge funds
* manage clients, and use initiative/established contacts to identify potential leads
* identify and assess sales initiatives to assist in achieving personal KPIs and add value to the team’s success
* negotiate agreements with legal, liaising with credit, compliance, operations, trading teams where appropriate
* identify clients’ requirements and offer relevant trading solutions
* develop sales opportunities, offering a range of FX and precious metals solutions to clients in linear, derivatives, structured products.
* work closely with the trading teams to ensure client relationships are optimized and operations to oversee smooth sales execution process
* respond proactively to inquiries from external clients and internal wealth management division
* execute on trades in foreign exchange/precious metals products spanning derivatives

Your team
You’ll be working in the IB Global Markets FX Distribution team in Zurich. You’ll team up with business partners and teams from various business functions, such as from UBS WM, Sales Management, other Capital Market Product specialists and IB FX/PM trading. We act as a disseminator of market information, proposing trading and hedging solutions to clients who want to invest in Foreign Exchange and/or Precious Metals markets or reduce or hedge their FX/PM exposure.
Your expertise
* a minimum of 7 years FX/PM experience in a sales and trading environment
* deep knowledge and understanding of the Swiss institutional market for FX/PM and macro products
* extensive experience in FX/PM OTC Derivative product execution including deep understanding of the execution risks
* business development and relationship management experience
* knowledge of negotiating agreements, e.g. KYC, ISDA, CSA, consignment and loan documentations
* self-motivated, driven and able to work confidently to performance targets
* strong team player who is able to work well in a global team, to assist and support colleagues
* fluency in German and English
* agile work ethic and an openness for new technologies and process improvements
