Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or worksite by performing the following duties to maximize safety, quality, and OEE. The Trainer or Supervisor fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an at-will employer, SIG (formerly Scholle IPN) reserves the right to add to or modify this list as necessary.
* Responsible for lifting, packaging parts, and labeling properly.
* Issue parts to LN Work Orders using the FIFO (First in First Out) method. Also report Lots Complete on the FG parts coming from injection molding.
* Responsible for meeting the hourly/daily production targets on each machine.
* Apply labels to finished products and migrate them to their designated inventory areas.
* Rotate and organize inventory inside the department.
* Ensure machine hoppers stay filled with correct parts.
* Pull assembly samples for the QC laboratory every 4 hours.
* Perform visual inspection of parts.
* Ensure 5S & Housekeeping is conducted before, during, and after each shift.
* Follow management systems, procedures, and work instructions.
* Comply with OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA, and other regulatory guidelines and rules.
* Adhere to all company operations, personnel, safety, and environmental policies.
* Work flexibly across various departments according to daily production plans.
* Perform inspection activities on the production line as necessary.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
* EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D required.
* SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Ability to work safely and follow regulatory and company policies and guidelines.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
* Flexibility and multitasking abilities.
* Positive attitude, cooperative nature, and leadership qualities.
* Clear and decisive communication skills for team members and next shift.
* Good understanding of product lines.
* Technical or mechanical skills preferred.
