ROLE OVERVIEW

Part of our Galley team on our River vessels, the Sous Chef ensures outstanding food quality, supports budget goals, creates guest-oriented culture to increase revenue and profitability in Viking Cruises.. The Sous Chef reports to Executive Chef.

WHAT YOU WILL DO ON BOARD

1. Prepare and distribute daily meals for guests and crew
2. Ensure compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards
3. Assist with ordering food supplies within budget
4. Supervise, train, and motivate galley team
5. Conduct stock takes and inventory management
6. Support Executive Chef in departmental meetings and onboard training programs

On board our ship

ABOUT YOU

20. Culinary school graduation required, hospitality degree preferred
21. Minimum of 3 years experience in upscale cruise or hotel industry, 1 year in similar position
22. Fluent in English with excellent oral communication skills
23. Maintains confidentiality and impeccable hygiene standards
24. Flexible, team player, guest-focused with a positive and professional demeanor.
