In this senior role, you will act as the technical owner of projects and systems, serving as the bridge between operations, maintenance and external engineering partners to ensure reliable and pragmatic solutions.
What you can expect Independent technical project ownership from planning to commissioning within a live production environment.
Technical leadership and decision-making responsibility across cross-functional teams.
Technical interface between operations, maintenance, suppliers and external engineering partners.
Procurement and supplier management, including quotation comparison and material purchasing.
Budget responsibility and subcontractor coordination.
Continuous optimization of existing systems and active involvement in future facility expansions.
Close collaboration with production and fish health teams to translate biological needs into technical solutions.
Hands-on mentality: Willingness to actively support operational work when required.
On-call duty: Participation in on-call rotations when required.
What you bring Completed technical education as an engineer (FH/ETH or equivalent qualification).
Preferred background in environmental, process, or water treatment engineering.
Proven experience in technically leading projects and taking system-level responsibility.
Strong knowledge of water treatment processes; RAS systems and/or aquaculture experience is a strong advantage.
Understanding of nitrogen/nitrate cycles and water chemistry fundamentals.
Knowledge of pumps, pneumatic systems, and industrial materials.
Advantageous: basic knowledge of electrical installations and heating/cooling systems.
Advantageous: basic AutoCAD skills for layouts and project planning.
Experience managing suppliers and purchasing processes.
Budgeting experience and subcontractor coordination skills.
German is mandatory (documentation and regulatory interaction).
Good English skills for effective team coordination.
Structured, analytical mindset with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
Driving license category B.
