Job Description
Lead complex projects from concept to production (research, 3D modeling, prototyping)
Shape and evolve the design languages of Wenger and Victorinox
Deliver precise design packages and specifications for smooth production
Review and refine samples, balancing cost, quality, and brand strategy
Represent design in cross-functional project meetings and influence key decisions
Mentor and support designers, trainees, and interns
Conduct trend research, benchmarking, and consumer insights for future strategies
Own project milestones and ensure timely, aligned delivery
Share insights to improve workflows and foster innovation (trends, AI, sustainability)
Represent design at trade shows, market visits, and external events
Drive creative pilot projects and innovation beyond standard briefs
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Product/Industrial Design or a related field
Several years experience in product design, ideally in consumer goods or lifestyle brands
Expertise in 3D modeling and rendering (e.g., Rhinoceros 3D or Siemens NX)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop)
Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production constraints
Ability to translate brand identity into innovative, functional designs
Excellent project management and communication skills
Creative thinker with a passion for aesthetics and usability
Detail-oriented and quality-driven
Collaborative and proactive in cross-functional environments
Familiarity with trend analysis, sustainability, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI in design)
Fluent in English (C1), German is a plus
