Accounting Manager (m/f/d) – 100%
to join us in Basel and play a key role in driving our financial integrity and compliance in Switzerland.
About the role: The position is very dynamic and enhances the cross‑functional support with many departments in the different countries and with our Headquarters in Italy. As our Accounting Manager, responsible for the financial statements of different companies in Switzerland and foreign branches, you ensure compliance with standards in the different countries and lead your accounting team to success. Your expertise will help us maintain accurate financial records and support strategic decision‑making.
Key responsibilities:
Supervising the daily financial accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger
Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions and allocations
Ensure compliance with Swiss statutory accounting standards (Swiss OR) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS, FINMA)
Coordinate internal and external audits
Manage and support tax matters, direct/indirect taxes and compliance
Management of bank compliance
Swiss legal activities
Lead and mentor a team of five accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
Support process improvements and digital transformation initiatives
Qualifications
Certified accountant with Swiss Federal Diploma in Accounting & Controlling
Swiss Certified Expert in Accounting & Controlling is an advantage
Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and regulations
Strong knowledge of Swiss OR and IFRS
Experience with internal & external audit processes
Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance
Competencies to coach/ manage a team
Technical skills
ERP Systems (SAP and Dynamics is an advantage)
MS Office & Advanced Excel skills
Hyperion consolidation reporting
Language
Fluency in English and German is required
Good level in French
As an Italian company, Italian basics are appreciated
