To reinforce our “Integrated and Wireless Systems” Business Unit, based in Neuchâtel, we are currently looking for a
Your mission
As a key member of our Hardware Design team, you’ll propose elegant and sustainable solutions to our customers’ toughest electronics challenges. You’ll take projects end‑to‑end by defining system architecture, selecting parts, and creating schematics and PCB layouts for embedded systems with sensors, power‑management, energy harvesting, and wireless communications. You’ll use test‑driven design, producing detailed test plans and procedures, and document every step of your work.
Your Responsibilities
Your main tasks will be the following:
* Architect Embedded Systems
o Define system block diagrams and part selections for sensor-driven, MCU/CPU‑based platforms
o Innovative power‑management and wireless‑communication solutions
* PCB Design & Simulation
* Testing & Validation
o Laboratory setups creation and automation
* Firmware & Software
o Write C firmware for MCU validation (e.g., STM32CubeMX)
o Automate test setups and data collection with Python scripts
* Collaboration & Documentation
o Peer reviews of schematics, layouts, and library components
o Document architectures, design choices, calculations, and test reports daily
* Customer & Sustainability Focus
o Help define customer requirements and contribute to proposal development
o Drive “green electronics” initiatives to minimize environmental impact
Know-how
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), with at least 3 years of hardware‑design experience in an industrial or product‑development environment.
* Good practice in PCB design using Altium Designer
* Expert with SPICE‑based simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, TINA)
* C‑programming skills on ARM‑based MCUs, Python scripting skills for test automation or data gathering
* Hands‑on experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DC power supplies, etc.)
* A plus: FPGA design and HDL programming / Linux‑embedded development / 3D CAD design and rapid prototyping
* Fluent in English and French
