Compute Category Business Development Manager (f/m/d) – Switzerland Hybrid role with an expectation of working on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Overview As Compute Category Business Development Manager you will focus on local demand and lead generation, segment sales and channel partner enablement, working closely with the Central Compute Category Portfolio Management Team, the Central funding Team and Alliance Manager. You will represent HPE Compute solutions and workloads, support business strategy and deal support, and drive initiatives to achieve or exceed business goals.
Responsibilities Local execution and market intelligence; focus on mainstream portfolio expertise.
Championship for specific topics or projects across representation of Compute solutions & workloads portfolio.
Act as interface between core Central Category Team and worldwide teams and local sales teams.
Communicate compute strategy, support deal and installed base campaign activities.
Participate in sales/channel meetings, workshops, internal and customer/partner events, representing the Compute portfolio.
Monitor business performance versus goals, develop and drive initiatives to close gaps or exceed targets, question status‑quo and test new approaches, and document actions in a business plan.
Participate in business planning with manager and sales; work with internal partners to deliver results and interfacing with any level in the sales organization.
Product line and quota responsibility limited to a low‑complexity, low‑impact part of the business; may be assigned functional responsibility for team activities such as market analysis, marketing engagement and SF communication.
Qualifications & Skills University or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Profound IT industry knowledge and first sales experience.
Knowledge of the Compute Market and HPE Compute offerings.
Business planning skills; financial planning and modelling skills; comfortable with business planning and reporting.
Strong communication skills; fluent in German and English.
Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
