Factory Digitalization and Automation Engineer 80 - 100% (f/m/d)
Join our team in Molinazzo di Monteggio, Switzerland as a Digitalization & Automation Engineer and support our factory's digital transformation by designing, developing, and implementing automation, digitalization, and data-driven improvement solutions.
How you'll make an impact
Analyze manufacturing and business processes to identify automation and digitalization opportunities
Design and implement solutions for process automation (industrial or office), digital workflows and paperless processes, as well as production data collection and analysis
Collaborate with Operations, IT, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams to define functional and technical requirements
Develop and maintain KPI dashboards (OEE, productivity, quality, downtime) and data acquisition systems (PLC, sensors, MES)
Manage technology suppliers and system integrators
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity standards
Train end users and support change management activities
Your background
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering (Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronics, or similar)
Solid understanding of control logic and process automation, operational process digitalization
Experience with MES, ERP, or traceability systems
Knowledge of Python, SQL, Power BI / Tableau, RPA tools (e.g., Power Automate) and industrial IoT solutions
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Technical English (written and spoken) and Italian at least intermediate
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, IBA) is an advantage
