We are building a lean, highly scalable finance team and are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join us. What you’ll do:Own and manage the ERP system (Abacus), ensuring accurate financial data and system improvements.Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate statutory accounting and reporting in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and local regulations.Manage the full payroll process including monthly payroll execution, tax-at-source declarations, social security filings, and preparation of year-end salary certificates, ensuring compliance with Swiss regulations.Coordinate and support year-end financial audits with external auditors.Oversee accounting processes including accounts payable (Yokoy), driving further automation where possible.Support internal controlling activities, including variance analysis, cost controlling, and ensuring data integrity.Ensure compliance with internal control systems (ICS) and contribute to their continuous improvement.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as People, to optimize payroll and accounting workflows.Participate in ad hoc accounting and controlling projects aimed at process optimization and automation.️ What you’ll need:Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience focused on financial accounting and reporting.A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly appreciated.Solid knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations (OR), and local accounting regulations.Strong understanding of Swiss social security contributions and related payroll accounting (AHV, IV, EO, ALV, BVG, etc.).Proven experience working with ERP systems, preferably Abacus or similar platforms.Expertise in monthly closing, year-end financial audits, statutory reporting, and compliance.Analytical mindset with a passion for process optimization, internal controls, and automation.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and coordinate smoothly with external auditors and stakeholders.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and common accounting and reporting tools.Fluent in English and German.A structured and detail-oriented working style with the ability to work independently and within a team.Nice to have: experience in fast-growing startups or scale-ups, with multiple ERP systems, multi-entity accounting including intercompany transactions, and compliance tasks like tax reporting and VAT declarations, helping us stay future-proof as we grow.
