Overview
Material Specialist / Sorbent Development – Lead role to drive research and development activities in the synthesis and characterization of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), with a specific focus on developing industrially-viable MOFs for CO2 capture. Location: On-Site (Location in Switzerland). Company: novoMOF AG.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead in the synthesis development and optimization of MOF materials.
* Manage in-depth characterization techniques, including PXRD, TGA, BET, and other analytical techniques.
* Perform data analysis for internal and external reporting.
* Support and collaborate with the process development team to research, design, and validate material development to fit within CO2 capture processes.
Key Skills & Experience
* Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
* Strong track record in material development and synthesis.
* Hands-on experience in scale-up operations.
* Proficiency in material characterization and analysis (PXRD, BET, Isotherms, TGA, SEM, etc.).
* In-depth understanding of Metal-organic Framework chemistry.
* Experience in collaboration with adsorption process experts.
* Independent, analytical thinker with a collaborative and pragmatic working style.
