The Head of Finance and Administration provides leadership to key organisational functions, including financial management, donor compliance, administration, HR and governance, working towards a collaborative and positive culture for the smooth functioning of the organization.Strategic and business operationsSupport the compilation of the annual workplan and lead the process to develop the associated budgetsDevelop, monitor, and maintain financial and IT policies and ensure internal processes meet the defined requirementsEnsure that the organization meets due diligence requirements of the donors, and align all policies and procedures with swiss and foreign legal requirementsFinance and Grant ManagementLead the financial operations including financial management, accounting, control, reportingEnsure effective budget workflows to enable departments meeting their goals and objectivesOversee budgeting, financial planning, regular re forecasting and modellingOversee organisation and programme specific auditsOversee development of tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to budget holdersBuild a collaborative engagement with the Treasurer and support a strong Governing Board Finance Risk and Audit CommitteeOversee effective grant management requirements are metIT and Data ProtectionOversee the internal IT and data infrastructure, including development and implementation of an integrated IT strategyOversee the provision of IT services and support to staff and other contributorsHR, Governance and OtherOversight of the HR and governance roleOversee all regulatory requirements, legal interactions, procurement, insurance and contractsOversee organisational risk register including regular and comprehensive review of risks to ensure adequate mitigations are in placeLead the development of innovative and flexible tools to enhance business operationsThe Head of Finance and Administration we need will bring the following background and experience:Professional qualification in Finance, MBA or otherExperience with non profit organizations on a senior management roleGood knowledge of current good practice in organisational development issuesStrong understanding of organisational accountability practicesExperience of working on diversity equality and inclusionExcellent oral and written English skills, French a strong asset, other working languages appreciated
