Job Title: Data Analyst - Medical Research
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in medical research.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
* Statistical Analysis: Providing methodological and statistical support for clinical studies throughout all study phases, including review of new research ideas, study protocols, final study reports, and requests for ad-hoc analyses
* Data Analysis Planning: Guiding stakeholders in defining their data analysis objectives and conducting appropriate sample size calculations
* Code Development: Developing, implementing, and optimizing codes/programming for statistical analysis according to SAPs as well as creation of tables, listings, and figures (TLFs)
* Report Writing: Providing statistical reports and supporting publications of scientific results within AO ITC (peer-reviewed publications, presentation at international meetings)
In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also provide statistical consultancy, including model and data interpretation, for Project Managers and Principal Investigators. Simplifying and translating complex statistical analyses for non-technical stakeholders through visualizations and clear summaries is also an essential part of this role.
Quality Management and Process Improvement:
The Data Analyst will support the development and maintenance of quality standards and SOPs related to medical statistics. They will create, validate, and manage statistical codes (macros) for standardized and efficient data presentation.
Main Requirements:
* MSc degree in Statistics or closely related field combined with a minor degree in a biomedical discipline
* Advanced SAS programming skills, with experience in analyzing large, complex clinical datasets
* Strong understanding of statistical concepts and experience applying them in real-world research or clinical data contexts
* Numerical and analytical skills
* Attention to detail and reliability
* Flexibility and customer-focused mindset
* Collaborative and team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally
* Experience in writing and reviewing scientific publications is an asset
* Strong oral communication skills in English, German skills are an asset
