They are responsible for ensuring that patients receive quality medical services according to MSF’s principles, while improving the overall health and humanitarian conditions for the communities we serve. /p pThis diverse and challenging role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through leadership, strategy, and hands-on involvement in delivering essential medical care. /p ppbResponsibilities: /b /p /p liDefine and implement the medical strategy in coordination with the Head of Mission and medical department. /li liPlan and manage all medical activities, ensuring alignment with MSF’s policies and ethical guidelines. /li liTranslate health needs into a strategic vision and project objectives, ensuring resources are allocated accordingly. /li liMonitor and update the medical content of MSF’s country policies, medical strategy, annual plans, and budget. /li liEnsure the quality and appropriateness of all medical interventions, working to remove barriers to patient safety and effective care. /li liContinuously assess medical and humanitarian needs through exploratory missions and health information systems. /li liSupervise and monitor medical and humanitarian programmes through project visits, identifying and addressing challenges in implementation. /li liCollaborate with the Human Resources Coordinator to plan, recruit, and train medical staff, and support Project Coordinators and teams in delivering medical activities. /li liDefine and implement the Health and Safety Policy Framework, ensuring the mental and physical well-being of our team. /li liManage the pharmacy and medical equipment in collaboration with logistics, including medical orders and purchase requests. /li liPrepare reports on the medical evolution of our projects and oversee the medical library. /li liRepresent MSF in discussions with local medical authorities and partner organisations, ensuring a strong medical-humanitarian response and supporting advocacy efforts. /li ppbRequirements: /b /p /p liA degree in medicine or other paramedical studies is essential. /li liAt least two years of relevant professional experience, including prior humanitarian work with MSF or other NGOs in developing regions.
