Trade Compliance Specialist

Duration: 12 months + extension
Tasks & Responsibilities
Compliance Leadership: Ensure export control compliance at the site in close collaboration with the Local Export Control Officer (LECO).
IMCP Management: Take ownership of developing, monitoring, and refining the Internal Management & Compliance Program (IMCP).
Product Classification: Actively support the classification of goods and conduct sanctions list, embargo, and dual-use checks (including releasing blocks) within SAP GTS.
License Management: Handle end-to-end license management, including the application and administration of licenses with the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
Process Optimization & Training: Define, implement, and continuously improve foreign trade processes and lead internal training sessions to foster a culture of compliance.
Consulting & Projects: Act as a subject matter expert for internal departments and represent export control interests in both local and global projects.
Regulatory Monitoring: Stay ahead of changing regulations and ensure seamless implementation during operational audits and interactions with authorities.
Must Haves
Completed commercial education with several years of professional experience in Import, Export or Trade
Experience in an international industrial environment
Solid knowledge of Swiss, European and international export control regulations
Independent, analytical and results-oriented working style with strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Advanced German and English language skills
Nice to Haves
Technical Skills: Advanced user knowledge of SAP GTS and MS Office
US Regulations: Familiarity with US Export Control regulations (EAR) is an advantage
