Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead and oversee the operations of 18 stores across Switzerland. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the overall performance and success of your network, ensuring that sales, operational, and service objectives are consistently achieved.
You will implement company strategies with the goal of maximizing store profitability while maintaining the highest standards of our brand representation and customer experience. This includes managing and supporting store managers, setting clear performance targets, and ensuring their effective performance.
Your responsibilities will encompass expense management, merchandise and inventory control, and the maintenance of operational excellence across all locations. You will also play a key role in fostering team engagement, ensuring alignment with brand values and a collaborative, high‑performing culture.
Reporting directly to our South of Europe Zone Director and working closely with the commercial, accounting, visual merchandising, stock, and HR departments, you will be responsible for developing the company’s commercial strategy in Switzerland.
Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with legal and mandatory regulations for all points of sale.
* Interact actively with store managers regarding the organization, management, and coordination of teams, as well as administrative and commercial aspects.
* Execute commercial strategies to maximize the profitability of the stores in your area.
* Define a sales strategy and action plans in the management area, achieving and exceeding the established objectives, analyzing sales KPIs and identifying and seeking opportunities for growth.
* Ensure, with teams and store managers, a personalized service in line with the group’s standards and adapted to the local market.
* Train and support teams to understand customer needs, ensuring a great client experience aligned with company standards and our ceremonial values.
* Recruit, onboard, and develop store managers in your area; provide commercial animation and motivation, training, coaching, action plans, and HR support.
* Serve as the link between points of sale and HQ to organize, manage, and ensure compliance of all processes related to stock, transfers, commercial actions, visual merchandising, etc.
* Supervise the opening and closing of POS, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in fashion retail management / retail operations.
* Leadership skills with a passion for motivating, supporting, and training teams.
* Strong awareness, passion, and sensitivity for fashion.
* Established retail experience in the fashion industry.
* Commitment to ensuring the smooth running of daily activities and operations to support commercial objectives.
* Problem‑solver with independent decision-making while respecting company guidelines and customer needs.
* Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
* Fluency in German & English; good level of French is an asset.
