The Department of Civil Engineering is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of the cantonal roads as well as water engineering and slow traffic in Graubünden. We also take care of the operational maintenance of the national roads within the canton. The canton’s road infrastructure includes over 1,450 engineering structures, including bridges at dizzying heights of up to 90 meters and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges posed by the nature of our mountain canton in summer and winter make our work demanding and diverse. The Technical Section operates the entire operational and safety equipment of the cantonal and national roads, as well as the more than 40 tunnels in the canton of Graubünden. It consists of a modern and complex IT/OT system and network landscape. The environment includes, among other things, communication infrastructure, video surveillance, event ventilation, tunnel sensors, lighting, and traffic control of tunnels and road sections. It is controlled by a modern control system. We are looking for a System Administrator BSA in the field of control technology/automation, starting from July 1, 2026 or by agreement.
Responsibilities
* Collaboration in a small team for the operation and maintenance of 1st and 2nd level support of the diverse infrastructure on the cantonal and national road network
* Participation in cantonal and federal projects for the further development and expansion of the IT/OT environment
* Performing work assignments outside regular working hours, on-call and night shifts
Qualifications
* Degree as a certified technician HF in computer science or equivalent qualification
* Several years of professional experience in one or more areas such as network, control technology, video systems, IP telephony, as well as willingness to familiarize yourself with the complex specialist areas
* Organizational talent with an independent working style and a high sense of responsibility
* Team-oriented, flexible, and communicative personality
* General working language is German
* Good knowledge of Italian is an advantage
