Overview
As a senior member of a small and diverse Platform Engineering Team, the Senior Citrix & Windows Engineer will take a lead role in managing and optimising the server infrastructure, ensuring robust and reliable operations. You will also drive key initiatives and projects, leveraging your expertise to deliver innovative solutions that align with business goals.
While the primary focus will be on on-premise technologies, this position also offers exposure to and involvement in evolving Cloud infrastructure, providing a well-rounded and forward-looking career opportunity.
Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain core Windows Server infrastructure services including but not limited to security hardening, automated deployment, patching, lifecycle management.
* Implement and maintain core infrastructure services including but not limited to AD, AAD, SQL Server, Azure ARC, SCOM, SCCM, etc.
* Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation.
* Install, configure, and deploy SQL servers (this is not a DBA role).
* Practice Agile and DevOps practices within Infrastructure and Operations.
Contribute to the definition and delivery of services to support automation and transformation projects across a diverse technology stack, with a focus on Microsoft products.
Qualifications
* 5 to 8 years hands-on experience in implementing Windows Server infrastructure and Microsoft management platforms for enterprise customers.
* At least 5 years building, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft based solutions.
* Experience with multiple technologies such as Citrix published apps, VDI and Netscaler.
* Knowledge of Windows security features, operating system hardening (CIS, NIST, Microsoft) and experience with firewalls and zoning concepts.
* Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022).
* Fluency in a scripting language, ideally PowerShell.
* Directory Services (AD DS and AAD).
* Active Directory sMSA, gMSA, GPO.
* Fluency in English.
Location and Type
* Role based 100% in Switzerland
* Contract running for 2 years until December 2028 with strong likelihood to extend long-term (up to five years) based on project roadmaps, with start date by 1 Jan 2026.
* Interview process: two stages via video call.
