The Business Risk Management team plays a key role within the Wealth Management first line of defence. Business Risk Managers (BRM) are the internal referents within Front Office on the subjects of AML, CDB, Risk Appetite, and KYC/KYT.
Mission
Business Risk Managers (BRMs) collaborate with Relationship Managers, Assistants, Compliance, and Client Documentation teams to ensure regulatory standards are met, focusing on Client Onboarding and Transactions Monitoring, aiming to establish trust with the WM Front Office. As a BRM for the Latam / Iberia / Israel Region, you would mainly focus on cases from Relationship Managers (RMs) affiliated with these markets.
Your Challenges as a BRM
* Learn and apply the BRM tasks and controls framework effectively.
* Maintain high-quality business delivery standards regarding AML, CDB, Risk Appetite, and KYT/KYC subjects.
* Contribute to WM Markets' awareness on these subjects.
* Embrace change and implement new solutions to improve process quality and efficiency.
Main Duties
* Review onboarding files thoroughly (CDB, AML, KYC, KYT, adverse news screening) before Compliance submission, focusing on standard risk prospects/clients.
* Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation in line with the Bank’s risk standards.
* Review and resolve all normal and medium risk transactional alerts promptly.
* Update client information following activity shifts or lifecycle changes to keep KYC/KYT compliant.
* Escalate deviations from standards to relevant management and control functions.
* Serve as a liaison between Compliance and WM markets on AML, CDB, Risk Appetite, and KYC/KYT topics.
* Act as an authority relay within WM Markets on specific initiatives upon management request.
* Perform any other tasks assigned by management related to the employee’s mission.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* University degree (Bachelor) or equivalent qualification.
* Preferably experience in Private Banking, Financial Services Consulting, WM Assistance, or WM Compliance.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
* Strong communication skills adaptable to various levels of seniority.
* Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Power-BI is a plus.
* Fluent in English and Portuguese and/or Spanish; French or additional languages are advantageous.
* Solution-oriented, team player, capable of working independently.
* Resilient under stress, reliable, flexible.
* Eager to learn, develop new skills, and grow within an agile organization.
