About the Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced, ambitious and skilled Key Account Manager to join our team in Switzerland. The Key Account Manager plays a critical role in developing and managing high-value customer relationships of OEM customers in Industrial Automation and Rail business. This role is responsible for driving sales growth through opportunity identification, solution-based selling, and long-term account development. The KAM maintains strong CRM discipline in Salesforce, collaborates across departments to deliver customer value, and acts as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts. The role covers the responsibility for the achievement of the related sales budget, profitability and growth objectives locally.
Location : Switzerland (Willingness to travel)
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities in assigned territory.
* Manage full sales cycle from lead to close using Salesforce.
* Build customer-specific plans based on needs analysis and internal collaboration.
* Deliver against revenue and margin targets for assigned portfolio.
Account Management
* Serve existing customer base and acquire new prospects to grow existing business and find new one
* Apply Account development plans (ADP) to achieve sales, margin targets, sales price increases and other relevant objectives
* Do strategic customers visits in accordance with engagement rules and report all activities in CRM.
* Manage pricing, contracts, and negotiation processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
* Share customer insights with product, marketing, and operations teams.
* Contribute to forecast accuracy through structured updates and Salesforce discipline
We are looking for a leader who builds strong, high-performing teams, aligns customer needs with business strategy, and drives measurable results. You should demonstrate clear and persuasive communication, make timely and informed decisions, and consistently champion customer focus. A strong ability to lead through change, manage performance, and foster continuous improvement is essential
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent
* Languages: Swiss German, French and good English skills (Corporate language)
* 5+ years of commercial experience in a key account or territory management role.
* Awareness of Swiss market and Industrial Automation and Rail customers
* Proven track record in technical product and solution selling and relationship management.
* Ability to negociate contracts at all levels.
* Expert user of Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
