Clinical Support Specialist – West Switzerland
Reporting to the Clinical Training Lead, the Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) will provide expert clinical, technical support, and product assistance to physicians and EP lab staff. The role involves assisting in the effective use of Biosense Webster’s systems and catheter equipment (e.g., The CARTO System, associated software modules, and generators) during Cardiac Electrophysiology procedures, mainly in Western Switzerland.
Objectives of the Position
1. Provide support during electrophysiology interventions at hospitals for the use of BWI 3D Navigation system (CARTO 3) and other BWI mapping and ablation technologies.
2. Seek sales opportunities and drive business objectives within the defined territory and accounts, in collaboration with Area Sales Manager or Account Manager.
3. Support the achievement of predefined business goals.
4. Assist customers and use consultative selling techniques to identify potential sales opportunities.
5. Coordinate servicing, maintenance, repair, and upgrades of soft- and hardware with the European Technical team.
6. Create awareness of BWI solutions and facilitate contact between sales teams and key decision-makers to drive business.
7. Engage in meaningful dialogue with business partners to formulate solutions.
8. Improve customer case support through efficient planning, collaboration, and communication.
9. Develop and grow customer relationships within and beyond the EP lab, including physicians, nurses, technicians, hospital administrators, and staff.
10. Stay current on product instructions for use (IFU), methodologies, troubleshooting, scientific literature, and new product information.
11. Prioritize and respond to requests in high-pressure environments, maintaining composure and problem-solving effectively.
12. Train new BWI team members.
13. Respond daily to requests via email and telephone from customers, physicians, and partners.
14. Manage administrative tasks such as CRM systems, account documentation, complaints, safety and environmental practices, compliance training, expense reporting, and system input.
15. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
* Educational background in (bio)technical, (bio)engineering, or related fields, or previous experience as an Electrophysiology nurse.
* 1-3 years of experience in the medical device field, preferably in cardiology.
* Experience with introducing new technology on the market by working with key opinion leaders is advantageous.
* Service-, support-, solution-, and result-oriented.
* Ability to work independently, take ownership, and responsibility.
* Open to travel locally and internationally for congresses and training.
* Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written); French preferred; German and Italian advantageous.
* Possession of a valid Swiss residence and work permit is mandatory.
* Valid code B driver’s license required.
