As a Payroll Officer, you will manage payroll operations, social security, and tax activities for employees and pensioners, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Payroll Operations
Manage and review end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Validate salary adjustments, benefits, and pension‑related changes
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
Ensure accurate and timely payments to employees and pensioners
Prepare payroll‑related accounting entries and support monthly reconciliations in collaboration with Finance
Act as the primary point of contact for payroll‑related queries
Social Security & Tax
Administer Swiss social security accounts (e.g. AHV/ALV) in line with legal requirements
Support employees with tax‑related queries in coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisors
Contribute to annual tax return support processes
Process Improvement & Documentation
Review and document payroll processes, identifying opportunities for improvement
Implement best practices and enhance efficiency in payroll operations
Maintain accurate payroll records in line with internal policies
Stakeholder & Operational Support
Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external banking partners
Provide ad‑hoc support within the payroll team and cover during absences
Oversee processes related to employee financial accounts and related transactions
Anforderungsprofil
+5 years of experience in payroll operations
Strong expertise in multi‑currency payroll environments
Solid understanding of Swiss payroll regulations (including social security and tax)
Hands‑on experience with HR systems (ideally Workday)
Proven experience in reconciliation, reporting, and audit processes
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
