The role:
We are seeking an experienced engineer to strengthen a dynamic Level 2 support team (4 people) for one of our clients in Geneva.
This is a hands-on, high-responsibility, 100% on-site role, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, optimizing systems, and ensuring flawless end-user experience.
You will be the technical reference for Microsoft environments, VMware/Omnissa VDI platforms, endpoint security, monitoring, and automation.
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Workstation Management
1. Handle incidents and requests escalated to Level 2 & 3.
2. Assist and coordinate Level 1 support for issues related to Outlook, Exchange, Teams, and other Microsoft services.
3. Administer and support the Omnissa platform (formerly VMware EUC: Horizon, Workspace ONE, UEM) for VDI/DaaS and endpoint environments.
4. Manage and optimize the Microsoft stack (Windows 10/11, Intune/SCCM, Entra ID, Teams).
5. Ensure the stability, compliance, and security of workstations and mobile devices.
Monitoring, Performance & Optimization
6. Administer on-premise monitoring tools for infrastructure health and capacity.
7. Implement and operate user experience monitoring tools (ControlUp or equivalent).
8. Diagnose and optimize infrastructure paths to improve performance and stability.
9. Deploy automated benchmarks and integrate them into the monitoring layer.
Identity, Security & Deployment
10. Configure and administer Entra ID (Azure AD) and access policies.
11. Administer Microsoft Teams to ensure secure and reliable collaboration.
12. Define and execute application, OS, and patch deployment strategies.
13. Apply security and compliance best practices on endpoints.
Automation, Testing & DevOps
14. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and optimization.
15. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub for infrastructure automation.
16. Knowledge of Terraform (or equivalent IaC tool) is a plus.
17. Apply testing and validation practices to ensure deployment quality.
Service Management & Documentation
18. Use ServiceDesk+ (ITSM) for incident, change, and problem management.
19. Participate in cmdm/MDM administration for endpoint and mobile security.
20. Write clear documentation: runbooks, technical guides, and procedures for L1/L2 teams.
21. Ensure knowledge sharing and effective communication between teams.
What we're looking for:
Technical Skills
22. Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies and endpoint management (Intune/SCCM, Windows, Teams, Entra ID, Exchange, Outlook).
23. Hands-on experience with the VMware/Omnissa EUC suite (Horizon, Workspace ONE, UEM).
24. Solid experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization (ControlUp or equivalent).
25. Ability to deploy and integrate performance benchmarks into monitoring workflows.
26. Excellent command of PowerShell for automation and optimization.
27. Good knowledge of CI/CD environments and GitHub; Terraform is a plus.
28. Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceDesk+) and MDM/cmdm solutions.
Professional Experience
29. Minimum 15 years of experience.
30. Proven experience in L2 or L3 infrastructure support within on-premise environments.
Languages
31. English: Fluent.
32. French: A strong asset.
