The Role
We are seeking an outstanding Teacher of English to join our Secondary team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach English in a school that values intellectual challenge, precision of thought and excellence in communication.
Responsibilities
* Teach English across the IB Middle Years Programme
* Teach IB Diploma English, depending on experience
* Deliver rigorous, well‑structured lessons aligned to IB philosophy and assessment
* Develop pupils’ analytical writing, reading comprehension and oracy skills
* Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment design and moderation
* Support literacy development across the school
* Contribute fully to pastoral life and the wider co‑curricular programme
Candidate Profile
* Has experience teaching English within the IB MYP and ideally the IBDP
* Understands IB assessment criteria and curriculum design
* Is academically rigorous and well organised
* Sets high expectations and secures strong academic outcomes
* Communicates clearly and professionally with parents and colleagues
* Thrives in an international environment
* Is keen to contribute to a growing and ambitious school
IB experience and International school experience are advantageous.
