Overview Rocken® is seeking a Windows System Engineer to design, operate and optimize its physical and virtual server infrastructure based on VMware and Microsoft technologies. The role includes incident analysis, cooperation with internal development teams and ensuring IT service continuity and reliability.
Responsibilities Design, administration, configuration, monitoring and maintenance and continuous optimization of the physical and virtual server infrastructure based on VMware and Microsoft technologies
Continuous performance and stability monitoring and further development of the server infrastructure; Change & Release Management in the area of server and cloud infrastructure
Contribute to the further development of IT Service Continuity Management
Analyse incidents (2nd and 3rd level)
Advise application owners on IT infrastructure, architecture and security
Interface to our internal development department and assume operating responsibility of applications in interdisciplinary teams
Maintenance of system documentation
Qualifications Successfully completed basic vocational training in IT with a focus on system technology or further education in IT (NDS, HF, FH)
Several years of professional experience in the operation and maintenance of complex IT infrastructures
Very good knowledge in Windows Server and VMware, Linux is an advantage
In-depth expertise in the area of networks and infrastructure
Experience in conceiving IT total solutions
