Our client, a multinational corporation managing over $13 billion in spend, is seeking a Global Vice President Procurement – Direct to lead their procurement efforts, specifically across Raw Materials, Packaging, External Manufacturing, and Logistics. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to drive strategic sourcing initiatives on a global scale.
Position Overview
The Global Vice President Procurement – Direct will play a critical role in developing and executing direct sourcing strategies across all regions, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term business goals. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key suppliers, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and proactively managing supply chain risks.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute global direct sourcing strategies aligned with corporate objectives
* Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers across all regions
* Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and negotiations
* Proactively assess and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity
* Partner with R&D, operations, finance, and legal teams to drive procurement excellence
* Embed ESG principles into sourcing decisions to support corporate sustainability goals
* Leverage data analytics and digital tools to enhance procurement visibility and efficiency
* Lead and develop a high-performing global procurement team
* Lead & manage spend across Raw Materials, Packaging, External Manufacturing, and Logistics
Requirements
* Years of progressive experience in Procurement with deep content knowledge
* Proven experience leading a large, global procurement team
* Demonstrated ability to work with, present to, and influence senior management
* Exceptional communication, storytelling, and influential leadership capabilities
* Experience leading successful transformational change initiatives
* Strategic thinker with the ability to delve into detailed subject matter as needed
* Experience implementing digital Procurement tools and managing organisational change
* Hands-on experience managing spend across Raw Materials, Packaging, External Manufacturing, and Logistics
