FAULHABER has been producing and distributing drive solutions in Switzerland for more than 60 years. In June 2023, the four subsidiaries in Switzerland merged into a single company under the new name Faulhaber SA. The headquarters are located in Croglio, Ticino, where Faulhaber initially founded its first Swiss location in 1962.The site in Croglio, located close to the Italian border, is covering an area of around 6600 m² and employs more than 300 people who develop and produce a broad spectrum of motor, gearhead and linear drive technology that form part of the extensive range of FAULHABER products.

MISSION
As an R&D Engineer and Project leader in the Application Engineering department, you will develop new custom products in the domain of electro‑mechanical drive systems and manage the corresponding development projects
TASKS
Product development tasks
Design proposals
Performing calculations
Creation of parts and assembly drawings
Overseeing prototyping and manufacturing activities
Analysis of tests results
Optimization of product design from a technical, manufacturing and logistics point of view
Implementation of modification requests (both within and outside the framework of customer projects)
Project management tasks
Manages the interface with Sales and Customers through all the phases of the project, from start to finish
Actively participates to and drives the technical discussions with the customer in order to clarify the technical requirements
Monitors the project status in terms of timeline and costs and takes responsibility for fulfilling the project goals in terms of quality, cost, timeline and deliverables
Responsible for the creation and continuous update of project documentation, as well for internal reporting and communication to the Management
Responsible for coordinating the activities of all internal departments involved in the project (Industrial Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Production, Logistics, Planning)
Supports the Application Engineering department and Sales by providing feedback to technical inquiries and attending customer meetings (also outside the scope of development projects)
Contributes to the improvement of our Quality Management System
PROFILE
The minimum requirements are:
Master in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, …)
Solid multi-disciplinary technical background (mechanics, thermal management, electromagnetism, electronics)
3 years of product development experience (direct experience in development of electromechanical or mechatronics devices is a plus; experience with Siemens NX CAD system is a plus)
2 years of project management experience, with focus on direct contacts with external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, …) and coordination of internal tasks across multiple departments
Proficiency in Italian and English (C1 level), knowledge of French and German is a plus
Strong team spirit, openness and collaborative attitude are a must
Methodic and creative approach to problem solving
Very good communication skills
