We are currently assisting our client, a global leader in biopharmaceuticals, in their search for a Senior Specialist Microbiology to join their team in Schachen, Lucerne (LU), Switzerland. The company is committed to developing innovative therapies that improve patients’ quality of life and save lives.
The Quality Control Microbiology Team at the MSD Schachen site in Switzerland supports the production and release of new clinical candidates with environmental monitoring and testing of Drug Substance (DS) and in-process intermediates thereof.
Moreover, as part of the MRL Microbiology organization, we support with the global team the totality of the portfolio including small molecule, biologics and vaccines and have responsibilities for the assessment and introduction of rapid microbiological methods (RMM), other new technologies and automation to eventually allow more efficient and faster testing and release of DS and DP.
*Respo** *nsibilities:** Member of the Quality Control Microbiology team Raw data review on paper and in electronic data management systems and data trending Managing microbiological studies and projects Authoring Standard Operating Procedures, as well as qualification and validation protocols and reports Performing microbiological laboratory work in support of current projects Initiating, processing, and closing of deviation records and change controls Additional tasks according to experience *Your profile:** MS in microbiology or related field with 1+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry; BS or completed apprenticeship (lab technician EFZ subject Biology) with 3+ years of relevant experience; Strength in delivering results on firm deadlines in support of our pipeline GMP-experience Ability to work in a team environment with cross-functional interactions Fluency in German and English
