You will steer the operational delivery of late-phase clinical studies and guide an external study operations team. Your remit spans planning, vendor oversight, documentation quality, and cross-functional coordination—ensuring timelines, budget and quality targets are consistently met.
What you’ll do
Shape operational inputs for project and trial plans and drive activities that safeguard trial performance and quality.
Serve as the operational lead into the Clinical Trial Team, providing clear status, risks, KPIs and escalation paths.
Orchestrate day‑to‑day study operations in close partnership with Clinical Development, Tech Ops, QA and other functions.
Lead and coach the external operations team; set priorities, clarify deliverables, and resolve issues proactively.
Select, onboard and manage CROs and other external providers; align scope, performance and financials.
Oversee clinical supplies in collaboration with Technical Operations (forecasting, ordering, distribution, import/export).
Maintain inspection‑ready documentation (eTMF/StMF): run quality checks, ensure completeness, close gaps.
Support key study events (e.g., investigator meetings, SSVs/SIVs) and contribute to training for internal and vendor teams.
Prepare operational inputs for audits/inspections; track findings and drive timely closure.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree (Life Sciences/Healthcare) or equivalent.
~5+ years leading the operational delivery of Phase II/III clinical trials in global settings.
Proven vendor governance: CRO/ESP selection, performance management and budget control.
Hands‑on with CTMS, eTMF and EDC; strong grasp of ICH‑GCP.
Solid project management toolkit (risk/contingency planning, prioritization, problem solving).
Excellent English communication and comfort working in a matrix, multicultural environment.
Advanced MS Office skills; able to travel internationally as required.
