Salesforce Solution Architect for Marketing & Sales
Role: Global position at ABB – Hybrid / Remote.
You Will Be Mainly Accountable For
* End‑to‑end ownership of Salesforce solution architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
* Define and govern scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures, guiding design decisions, technical breakdowns, and implementation of solutions.
* Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to translate requirements into future‑ready technical solutions and architectural roadmaps.
* Design and oversee Salesforce integrations (APIs, events, middleware) in collaboration with integration architects to ensure consistency and performance.
* Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, and governance principles while proactively identifying risks and preventing technical debt.
* Lead architectural governance, design reviews, and technical decision forums while promoting Salesforce best practices and standardization.
* Mentor developers and technical teams, supporting DevOps practices (CI/CD, release management) and driving continuous improvement across the platform.
* Support demand prioritization and solution feasibility discussions, advising stakeholders on architectural trade‑offs and long‑term impacts.
Qualifications For The Role
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline and 12+ years of IT experience, including 8+ years in Salesforce architecture, technical leadership, or senior development roles.
* Relevant Salesforce certification is highly desirable (Salesforce Certified Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Application Architect, System Architect, Data Architect, Integration Architect, Identity & Access Management Architect, Platform Developer I & II, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Specialist, JavaScript Developer Certification).
* Proven experience delivering large‑scale, enterprise Salesforce implementations within complex, global environments.
* Deep expertise in Salesforce architecture, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud / Account Engagement.
* Strong hands‑on technical experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, APIs, integrations, and Salesforce security architecture.
* Solid understanding of integration patterns (REST, events, middleware such as MuleSoft), DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
* Ability to operate effectively in Agile environments and balance short‑term delivery with long‑term platform strategy.
