Role Overview
Operating at the intersection of entrepreneurial growth and group-level excellence, the Head of Sales – Life Science Products will lead Magellan Biologics' global commercial development.

The role combines hands-on business development with the mid-term responsibility to build, structure, and scale a sales organization, capable of supporting ambitious growth objectives. While Magellan benefits from the scientific expertise, operational standards, and stability of the ExcellGene Group, it retains the agility, autonomy, and speed of execution of a growing commercial entity.

This position offers high visibility and direct impact on market positioning, customer adoption, and long-term commercial success.

Key Responsibilities
Initial Phase – Commercial Execution

Define and implement the global sales strategy in line with company growth objectives.
Manage and expand the existing customer portfolio, ensuring satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
Acquire new customers worldwide, driving adoption across geographies and market segments.
Act as a key commercial interface with customers, in close collaboration with R&D, addressing technical and application-related needs.
Coordinate with administrative and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth order processing, delivery, and after-sales support.
Own and manage the CRM, ensuring accurate tracking of leads, pipelines, forecasts, and customer interactions.
Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on pipeline development, contracts, forecasts, and Voice of Customer (VoC) insights.
Negotiate and close high-value commercial agreements with strategic customers and partners.
Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics, translating insights into sales and product positioning recommendations.
Represent Magellan Biologics at conferences, trade shows, and industry events.

Mid-Term Phase – Building the Sales Organization
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing international sales team.
Establish sales processes, KPIs, and performance management frameworks aligned with growth and quality objectives.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, ownership, and commercial excellence.

Required Experience & Qualifications
5–10 years of proven experience in sales of life science products.
Solid understanding of life sciences and biopharmaceutical markets; experience in protein expression technologies is a strong asset.
University degree in Life Sciences and/or Business Management / Administration.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate effectively across cultures and geographies.
Leadership mindset combining entrepreneurial drive with structured execution.
Fluency in English and at least one additional European language.
