Global Sustainability Reporting Lead

As part of our development in our Motion Business Area, we are looking for a passionate Global Sustainability Reporting Lead, to bring our sustainability function to the next level.
This role is open globally, but the location is preferably in Europe. The work model is hybrid.
This role reports to the Motion Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and functionally to the Motion Global Head of Sustainability.
Key responsibilities
* Drive the execution of sustainability reporting processes for Motion, covering internal and regulatory requirements, planning, methodologies, data sources, controls, and process flows.
* Act as the primary contact for sustainability reporting within Motion towards ABB Group (e.g., Planning & Performance Management, CSRD, EU Taxonomy).
* Lead reporting for Circularity, overseeing data collection, validation, and reporting, ensuring controls and process alignment.
* Monitor and assess regulatory sustainability reporting requirements, support interpretation, and facilitate execution within Motion divisions and countries.
* Ensure collaboration between Finance and Sustainability functions to embed sustainability topics into broader reporting and performance management.
* Proactively improve sustainability reporting processes, documentation, and tools to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
* Drive business data quality improvements by coordinating with relevant functions and enhancing data automation and tools.
* Prepare sustainability content for EC and Motion reviews, and develop dashboards to monitor performance against targets.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field, ideally with a focus on Sustainability or ESG.
* Deep knowledge of sustainability reporting standards (e.g., CSRD, ESRS, GRI) and experience with audits.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability and/or financial reporting, preferably internationally.
* Strong interest and proven track record in setting up new processes, tools, and frameworks.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and familiarity with reporting tools and Power BI.
* Strategic thinker with analytical skills and a structured approach.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proven project and change management experience in complex organizations.
