The Product Design and Application Expert is part of the sustaining team reporting to the Sustaining & Expertise Team Leader in the EMS (Engineering, Manufacturing and Sustaining) Department. The role focuses on technical expertise, particularly on the Gutor product lines (UPS systems). It supports departments like Sales and Project Execution in evaluating technical requests and assesses Special Releases (SR). The role also involves supporting the test bay in troubleshooting activities and mentoring the tester pool. Additionally, the expert is responsible for executing or supporting internal sustaining projects.
Your responsibilities:
1. Possess expert knowledge of electrical engineering of systems.
2. Evaluate and release Special Releases (SR).
3. Support the test bay and mentor the tester pool.
4. Lead and support small to mid-size internal sustaining projects.
5. Serve as an internal auditor for ISO 9001 / 45001 / 14001 standards.
6. Conduct feasibility, cost, and technical reviews of non-standardized system types and special options.
Knowledge and Skills – Required:
* Strong knowledge of Gutor UPS products, electrical and mechanical aspects.
* Solid understanding of power electronics.
* Project management skills, including theory and tools.
Knowledge and Skills – Desired but Not Essential:
* Knowledge of quality processes.
* An electrical engineering education (e.g., 4-year apprenticeship or equivalent) or a degree.
* Initial work experience in electrical engineering, with experience in measuring, testing, and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
* Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are advantageous.
* Familiarity with power electronics, transformers, capacitors, and electrical hazards and risks.
* Well-developed computer skills and MS Office knowledge.
* Motivated, proactive, with a high degree of initiative and problem-solving energy.
