Chief Financial Officer, Evinova
Locations: Baar, Switzerland
The Chief Financial Officer, Evinova will be responsible for leading all financial responsibilities of Evinova and works with the Leadership Teams to shape the Company’s future through the iimplementation of global strategies. The individual is responsible for translating strategy into goals and action, demonstrating a deep understanding of the relationship between the business and finance strategy. The CFO also has statutory consolidation and reporting responsibilities for the company principle (Evinova AG) as well as the overall Evinova P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow. The role will report to the CEO, Evinova.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with the dynamics of scaling SaaS businesses, managing financial operations in a fast-paced, global and innovative environment, able to navigate the complexities of healthcare regulation and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field
2. A professional accounting qualification such as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CA (Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or equivalent.
3. An MBA or other relevant master’s degree is preferred.
4. At least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior finance position (such as Finance Director, VP of Finance, or CFO).
5. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in SaaS, technology, or health tech sectors, including a strong understanding of subscription business models, recurring revenue streams, and key SaaS metrics.
6. Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and strategic financial planning is crucial, especially in venture-backed or rapidly scaling organizations. Direct involvement with mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (particularly those relevant to health tech, such as HIPAA or GDPR) is highly valued.
7. Energetic, proactive and self-motivated finance professional with the capability to build strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders in our global organisation
8. Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of SAP
9. Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles including experience of accounting for complex transactions
10. Cross boundary experience including building relationships remotely and cross-culturally
11. Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams
12. English language proficiency (both verbal and written) is required, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain financial issues to non-financial management as well as to senior stakeholders
13. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under time pressure
14. Strong analytical skills coupled with an attention to detail
15. Ability to solve problems across numerous systems and processes, identify options and propose/implement a reasoned solution
16. Experience of delivering continuous improvements across key business processes
17. Experience of delivering/leading projects or business change initiatives
Typical Accountabilities:
18. Defines the strategic direction for the finance area and across other related functions
19. A leader and subject matter expert, working closely with stakeholders providing varied analytical and strategic support
20. Assist or lead high quality business decisions through the provision of financial expertise, insightful analysis and commercial aptitude
21. Creates operating plans and budgets to ensure the effective delivery of business objectives within timescales and quality standards
22. Recruits, directs, leads, coaches, develops and motivates team members to ensure that accountabilities are clear, objectives are delivered and competitive advantage created through clear linkages between investment in people and business performance
23. Controls all costs to support the achievement of operational plans within budget
24. Accountable for the controls that ensure operations comply with Finance Standards and policies
25. Accountable and responsible for the monthly financial results of the company, whilst adhering to relevant accounting policies and standards. This will include ensuring month end closing coordination and ensuring all activities/reporting requirements are completed accurately and to deadlines
26. Preparation and review of accurate in-depth monthly reports, some of which will be provided to third parties, and providing critical analysis of variances
27. Lead the processes required to establish robust and accurate forecasts for the company including the collection of data, the analysis and challenge with contributors, and high quality forecast-on-forecast and year-on-year variance analysis
28. Track and develop financial risks and opportunities for the business unit each quarter and closely and effectively manage quarterly P&L and cash outturns and year-end landing forecast and commentary deliverables
29. Defines the measurement, assessment and proactive communication of the performance of the function to facilitate continuous improvement of performance
30. Develops appropriate processes to deal with changing market/country demands
31. The CFO will be a member of the Evinova Leadership team.
