Overview
We are working with a Fortune 500 global manufacturing organisation undertaking a large-scale enterprise transformation following a major acquisition in the energy sector.
They require a Vice President of IT to join them in a senior executive capacity.
This role will focus on owning and scaling the global IT and enterprise applications landscape post–SAP S/4HANA, transitioning from a vendor-led model to a fully internalised, strategically governed IT organisation.
Responsibilities
Define and execute the global IT and enterprise applications strategy following S/4HANA implementation
Lead the integration of new manufacturing sites, warehouses, and business units into the global systems landscape
Build and scale global IT teams, including hiring and structuring for an expansion in the US
Oversee SAP, enterprise applications, and the broader IT ecosystem including data, infrastructure, and operations
Establish governance frameworks, delivery standards, and long-term IT operating models
Drive a multi-year transformation roadmap aligned with business growth across key global markets
Act as a senior business partner to executive stakeholders, aligning IT strategy with commercial objectives
Ensure delivery excellence, cost optimisation, and sustainable capability development
Requirements
Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles (VP, Head of IT, or equivalent) within global organisations
Strong background leading SAP S/4HANA or large-scale ERP transformation programmes
Demonstrated experience transitioning from vendor-led to internally owned IT models
Experience building and scaling global IT teams in complex, multi-country environments
Strong understanding of enterprise applications, data, infrastructure, and integration landscapes
Ability to operate at executive level, influencing C-suite stakeholders and business leaders
Commercially minded with experience managing large budgets and vendor relationships
Strategic thinker with a hands-on leadership approach to transformation and delivery
Fluent in English; additional European languages are advantageous

Location: Remote (occasional travel in both Switzerland & North America)
