Global Quality Director
The Global Quality Director will lead the strategic development, execution, and continuous improvement of quality management systems across FMC’s Global Technical Center and manufacturing network. This role ensures quality initiatives align with Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) and business goals, driving operational excellence and protecting brand integrity.
As the global head of FMC’s Quality function, this leader will manage a team of chemists and analytical scientists, implement best-in-class systems and lab practices, and position quality as a business enabler. The role acts as a key link between ISC, R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams, promoting cross-functional collaboration and a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do With Us
* Develop and lead FMC’s global quality strategy, ensuring alignment with business and operational goals across internal and external manufacturing.
* Oversee the implementation of FMC’s Quality Management System (QMS) and drive harmonization of quality standards, processes, and documentation globally.
* Champion a culture of quality and compliance, engaging cross-functional stakeholders across ISC, R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams.
* Lead global quality systems and governance, including investigations, deviations, lab practices, change control, and Management of Change protocols.
* Own FMC’s Contamination Prevention (CP) program, aligning with CropLife standards and ensuring robust brand protection across all operations.
* Drive analytical and laboratory excellence, standardizing methods, equipment, and talent development to ensure consistency and reliability.
* Monitor and improve global quality performance, using KPIs, CAPA programs, and supplier quality metrics to enable data-driven continuous improvement.
Your Qualification & Attributes
* Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry or related scientific discipline, with strong expertise in quality and analytical methodologies.
* 10–15 years of progressive experience in quality or manufacturing leadership roles, including experience as a Quality Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Global Quality Director.
* Proven track record in leading global quality operations within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures.
* Demonstrated success in planning and executing end-to-end manufacturing quality audits and compliance assessments.
* Practical experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and/or ISO 9001 standards.
* Deep technical knowledge of chemical analytical methods, method development, and modern analytical technologies.
* Solid understanding of quality-at-source principles and external regulatory frameworks impacting manufacturing and quality systems.
