Your primary responsibility will be to support the development new synthesis routes for our molecules that are safe, scalable, sustainable and cost-effective ? Detailed planning of organic reactions, taking into consideration safe laboratory practice and careful risk assessment ? Safely performing organic reactions in the laboratory, using a wide range of synthetic and purification skills ? Independently use appropriate analytical techniques to follow reactions (incl. TLC, IR, GC, LC) ? Characterization of the nature and purity of synthesized products (1D-NMR, MS, IR, MPt, LC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS) ? Optimization of chemical processes and development of new synthesis routes ? Protocolling, analyzing and reporting of scientific data and results ? Interacting and communicating in a diverse and international professional environment Profile ? Laborant/In education or a BS or MS in Organic Chemistry (no PhD degree). Industrial experience would be advantageous ? Thorough knowledge of practical organic chemistry and organic synthesis ? Expertise in the use of standard and modern chemical laboratory equipment ? Capable to perform multistep synthesis and to optimize reaction conditions ? Excellent team working skills and the ability to work on your own initiative ? Excellent understanding of purification techniques ? Thorough knowledge of common spectroscopic techniques ? Basic skills with Excel, Word and Powerpoint ?
